As Figures 3 and 4 show, the Intel vPro technology-based PC with the Intel Core 2 Duo processor E6700 was

1.14 times faster than the AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ processor-based PC on the foreground task and 2.21 times

faster on the background task.

As Figure 4 shows,

these differences

represent significant

improvements in the

time it takes to

perform each task.

Compared to the

Intel AMD Athlon 64

X2 5200+ processor-

based PC, the Intel

vPro technology-

based PC with the

Intel Core 2 Duo

processor E6700

decreased the

elapsed time from

15.41 to 13.56

seconds on the

foreground task and

from 50.39 to 22.79

seconds on the

Microsoft Groove

sync task. That sync

is important because

until it finishes the

user cannot join and

work in the Groove

workspace.
